As if a stone...

Like

With their rasp,
hammer and knife,
they cut, chip
and break stones,
to make
lifeless gods,

As if a stone,
they cut, chipped
and broke her lifeless,
witnessed by
the lifeless stones,
in the sanctuary of shame

In immeasurable times?

(In the style of Ayushee Garg.
Never stopped weeping after hearing about Asifa Bano.
So many unheard, speechless Asifas are around us.
Forgive us children, for being rasps, hammers and knives.)
