Mathematics for Everyone
Mathematics is everywhere. Hence, it is for everyone. Mathematical concepts, simple to complex, are explained by great mathematicians and writers of the recent centuries in popular formats. Many of these monographs are enjoyable by even those who do not have any previous knowledge in Mathematics or science. They are addictive! You start reading, you stop reading! This collection is dedicated to all my students who helped me improve my interest in Mathematics. Read and Enjoy!

GREAT list, but can't help but add a few more:
ReplyDeleteMatt Parker's "Things to Make and Do In the Fourth Dimension" (fun topics)
Martin Gardner's "The Colossal Book of Mathematics" (classic)
Siobhan Roberts' "Genius At Play" (fascinating as a biography but also contains math)
Ed Frenkel's "Love and Math"
William Byers' "How Mathematicians Think"
So many wonderful and varied popular math reads out there!
Thanks a lot! List is updated.
ReplyDeleteThanks fro sharing,, Can you explain in detail what is the Difference between Axiom and Theorem
ReplyDeleteAxiom is true by faith whereas Theorem is true by proof.
